What is School Spirit Pays?

School Spirit Pays is an education fundraiser doing social good by partnering with school districts and local businesses to create new, recurring funding for schools.

How does SSP recruit businesses?

We collaborate with non-profit organizations within school districts, such as the Education Foundation, PTA/PTO, or Booster Clubs, to establish a volunteer network to engage local businesses in the program.

Can the program replace student fundraising?

Absolutely! It's far simpler than having students try to sell food, tickets, services or other items that often end up placing a financial strain on their parents. This way, the groups receiving funds can simply concentrate on recognizing the local businesses that supported them.

What do businesses have to do to get involved?

Simply present a copy of your latest credit card processing statement to the School Spirit Pays team member assisting you with the sign-up process for the program.

Why does SSP require a Merchant's statement?

We require this statement because School Spirit Pays guarantees Merchants their participation in the program will not cost them any extra. Businesses won’t spend a single penny more to enroll.

How difficult is it to switch to School Spirit Pays?

It's easy! All we need is a completed application which has basic info like Principal Name and Info, Merchant Name, DBA, TaxID, Phone Number and Business Website URL and/or Business Locations, if applicable. Most Applicants complete the form in just 10-15 minutes.

Will I have to switch my deposit bank?

No., you can use your existing bank or another bank you select.

Can businesses select a group to support?

Absolutely! You have the freedom to select any qualifying organization that meets your criteria, and we are more than happy to provide our assistance. Our team is dedicated to ensuring you receive the support you need throughout the process. Don't hesitate to reach out; we're to help!

Do volunteers have to be processing experts?

Volunteers only need to be familiar with the information included in the School Spirit Pays materials regarding credit card processing. We offer a comprehensive set of materials to assist your volunteer efforts, covering all aspects of the program from awareness to enrollment, training, and merchant recruitment. Additionally, we conduct orientation sessions to inform your district about School Spirit Pays and provide training for your volunteers to initiate the recruitment process.
